Psychology Supervisors – Dr Amanda White

Dr Amanda White   Quals: PhD, B Psych (Hons), B Beh Sc, DipH, MAPS.

Psychology Supervision: Dr Amanda White is a STAP accredited supervisor, recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia. She provides supervision to psychologists and counsellors in professional evidence-based practice. Supervision may be delivered either individually or in a group training setting. An established group training program for WAIS-IV and WMS-IV is available for provisional psychologists working under the 4+2 model.

Counselling Approach: Amanda has developed an outcomes-focused practice following her positions in both the public and private sectors. She is a highly experienced clinician, having worked successfully with a variety of conditions, including mood disorders such as depression and bipolar, anxiety, addiction, cognitive and somatic symptom disorders, eating disorders, and personality issues. Amanda also has experience fostering resilience with people who have intellectual and physical concerns.

Amanda offers tailored treatment plans based on her clients needs. Her emphasis is working with individual adults and older adolescents, rather than couples or children, as these individuals hold greater agency, ie the power to act.  Her treatment programs are based on an eclectic approach, meaning evidence based best practice is merged with the presentation and problem solving approach of each client. Her therapeutic orientation is primarily grounded in humanistic psychology, with an emphasis on IPT, MBCT, and Hypnotherapy.

Current Availability: Dr White’s books are currently closed to new clients. Please Visit the M1 Psychology website for details on other suitable psychologists.

Fees: Usually $220 for 50 min consultations. Initial Consultation $260.  Fees for supervision are quoted at the time of application.
