Seniors Counselling: Older adults do not often seek counselling because their generation has a negative perception about individuals who seek out this type of service. However, the pressures of living in a rapidly evolving society are seeing individuals of all ages needing help in understanding their changing circumstances. The following are some reasons why older adults may seek help:

  • Transition to living in aged care facilities
  • Family conflict
  • Addictions including drug, alcohol and gambling
  • Concerns over memory problems
  • Carer stress
  • Loneliness
  • Retirement
  • Stress related to having medical problems
  • End of life issues
  • Grief and loss

(In home consultations available for clients living in the southern region of Brisbane at no extra cost)

Within this framework, she remains solution-focussed, and works collaboratively with individuals to achieve the desired outcomes.
