Positive Psychology: When many people think of psychologists, they imagine a long couch and a man with a white beard asking them about their childhood, and their mother. Thankfully, psychology has come a long way since then! Historically, psychology has been very disease focused, much like medicine. However new waves of psychology have developed a new focus, one of happiness, contentment, stress reduction, health and wellbeing. These approaches are not only helpful in supporting people to reach their potential and lead happy lives, but ironically are also helpful in overcoming debilitating illnesses such as depression, anxiety, and attachment problems.

Counselling Approach: Tiegan is particularly passionate about developing strength based goals with each client, based on values, healthy relationships with emotions and others, and self development. Compassion focused approaches are particularly helpful, and often utilised within skills based, mindfulness, solution focused and brief therapeutic interventions. It is Tiegan’s goal to help you to lead the happy, healthy life you want.

Current Availability: Usually within one week. Appointments available Saturdays.

Fees: Sliding Scale depending on circumstances, usually $180 hr and $220 initial appointment. Medicare and health rebates available.
