Grief and Loss Counselling: Grief is a powerful and intense emotion, which can be felt following any loss in our lives. People most often think of grief as following the death of loved ones, but can also result from the loss or death of pets, loss of a job or relationship, permanent injury, or really any loss of our expected future. Grief is individual, and affects people in different ways – though often clients become confused and concerned when they can’t recover from their grief, or worry their grief is abnormal. Grief counselling allows you the space to experience and discuss your grief, in a safe and healing environment.

Counselling Approach: Tiegan is a compassionate and down to earth psychologist, who feels passionately about supporting clients through tough times. Grief counselling often involves working through a range of emotions, including anger and despair, and developing a new relationship with oneself and the object of loss. To support this process, Tiegan utilises Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy and Psychodynamic therapy to best suit the needs of her clients.
