Childhood Grief – Angela Bromfield

Angela Bromfield      Quals: B Sc (Hons Psych), B Ed (Primary), M Ed Psych.

Childhood Grief: Grief occurs when an individual experiences anguish and sorrow at the loss of a loved one due to death. While grieving, children and adolescents may experience feelings of emptiness, anger, confusion, desertion and insecurity. It is important that they have an opportunity to work through their feelings about their loss.

Counselling Approach: When working with clients, Angela only uses evidence-based therapies including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy and Play Therapy. With young clients games may be used to reinforce concepts and keep young clients engaged in the therapeutic process. Angela supports children who are experiencing grief by helping them to understand their loss, helping them to grieve their loved one, and helping them to remember.

Fees:  Sliding Scale depending on circumstances, usually $195 for a standard consult ($240 for initial appointment).
