Child and Adolescent Anxiety – Kelly Gall

Kelly Gall     Quals: BSc (Hons), MPsych (Health), MClinPsych MAPS

Child and Adolescent Anxiety: Anxiety in childhood can be very distressing for both children and their carers. Anxiety can limit social and academic development.  Fortunately anxiety conditions are treatable.

Counselling Approach: Kelly is an endorsed Health Psychologist and Clinical Psychologist, with experience in working with children and adolescents over the age of six who are dealing with all forms of anxiety, including phobias and social anxiety.  Kelly uses evidence based cognitive behavioural treatments to help children to understand and manage their symptoms, and change unhelpful underlying beliefs. With younger children Kelly actively involves parents in treatment where possible to ensure that parents have the skills to support their child, and help prevent anxiety from worsening or recurring.
